We started at this little European bistro that we've been meaning to try forever. We were not disappointed! Wow.
And when Hollie got a taste of that hummus, and we couldn't keep her away!
We'll definitely be back.
Next we went to the zoo, another spot we had never been and have been meaning to see. I don't want to post captions for all of these...because I don't want a mile-long post. I think most of them are pretty self-explanatory (ie: animals).
The gorillas were amazing! We found a spot by the glass, and Daniel was holding Hollie up so she could see better. One of them came up to the glass right. in. front. of us and paused there for a few seconds, and she got all wide-eyed and let out this frightened little whimper, which produced a sympathetic awww from a bunch of nearby moms.
The ever-present Canadian goose, which made it's home in seemingly every exhibit.
Is your mama a llama?
Thankfully the weather was absolutely perfect, which of course meant that the place was packed, but we really had a good time. Hollie seemed to really enjoy it, though I don't think she understood much of it. Back at home, we ended the day with my favorite: homemade banana and oreo milkshakes.
Happy Easter, everybody! We are off to church for Hollie's first ever Easter egg hunt (last year she couldn't quite keep up) and this year we're fully expecting to bring home a blue ribbon (this is a contest, right?).
